While processing some really old stuff from my childhood, I called up my little patent-leather wearing kid self to help me create this piece. She used to play by herself in the closet, creating all sorts of worlds from her imagination. She embodied the human struggle that included conditions that many of us would consider unfair...and then we grow up to realize that those unfavorable conditions were exactly what we needed to become the amazing people we are today.

There's a lot going on in those little kid heads, you know. Don't underestimate them.
